Can anyone recommend a good honest London cosmetic dermatologist?

Hello, is anyone able to recommend a really good and honest dermatologist based in London? Having reached 42, I feel like my skin needs a boost in various ways and I also need advice on the best skincare products. I want to go to someone who is really experienced and knows that they are talking about who can give me advice on the best options without me feeling pressurised to have any particular treatment! Any recommendations would be gratefully received.
Thanks!

Sam Bunting?

I am a patient of Sam Bunting and would recommend her without hesitation.

Dr joney de souza in mayfair

Check out Dr Sam Bunting on YouTube. If I was in London wanting to see a derm I'd call her office for sure.

Any idea of what a consultation with Dr Sam costs?

Also, any recommendations for Surrey area?

Sam Bunting is great but it's a very expensive 30 minutes... over £300... you don't need a 'celeb' one necessarily. Any dermatologist will almost certainly suggest you use retinoin ('retin-a'), which will make a big difference - just make sure you build it up gradually. (Look at the Hot and Flashy blog on retin A for a full explanation.). And a good mineral spf 50 every day (texture and particular brand depends on your skin type). But definitely look at sam bunting's YouTube videos. They are fab.

I think it's £200 per half an hour for Dr Sam.
OTOH she has saved me a lot more than that because I no longer waste my money on pointless, expensive products!

Thanks for the advice. I did look at Sam Bunting but they told me it was £375 for an initial appt and I just don't think I can afford to pay that. Chicken vindaloo - does she offer treatments i.e. Botox, fillers, lasers etc as well as skin care product advice? I will look her up on YouTube though, thanks. Soft kitty do you know what Dr joney de souza charges?
Thanks everyone!

£375 for subsequent appointments too...

Hi I see an amazing facialist called Sam Braby in Essex. She is highly qualified and can do you a consultation, skin analysis and facial, and recommend products. She uses whatever brand is right for the client. I've been seeing her for 10 years and everything she says works! She is a gem and super lovely. Pm me for her number

GrimDamnFanjo · 09/03/2017 09:48

Coming to this late but I see Dr Terry who has a London Clinic - drterry.com/ she's great and covers everything you need to know or consider in her consultations [which are pretty reasonable for London].

Shine0n1 · 10/03/2017 11:23

Thanks GDF. Do you mind me asking which treatments have you had with Dr Terry?
