Fossil bag wearing badly

I treated myself to a lovely tan leather Fossil cross body bag in the Fossil store in my city centre. I've had it just over a year (i think) and it's not wearing well at all. The leather is really badly scuffed and a seam on the strap is coming apart. I don't have the receipt though so can't prove when/where I bought it. It wasn't one of their more expensive styles (I can't see it on the site now) but it certainly was a lot more than I usually spend on bags.

I treat it with respect - not chucking it around etc. Do you think the store would do anything about it, bearing in mind the no receipt situation? My friend has one from there that she got a bit before I got mine and hers is wearing in a really nice way.

It's this one. Just found it on their sale page.

Honestly, probably not after over a year. Leather does scuff (have you used leather cream/polish?) and I would just take the bag to a cobbler to fix the seam.

Yep, you're probably right. I just thought it would wear a lot better and look nicely aged rather than knackered :(
