If you've not seen this video about carryon packing I'd highly recommend it:

www.biaggi.com/blog/how-to-pack-over-100-items-into-your-carry-on/

My question is this: if you look at number 6 on the list in the article linked above it says pack lightweight fabrics and look at how much space you can save (comparing folded jeans with folded lightweight pants)..

My question is:

Does anyone have any favorite lightweight/compact items/brands they would recommend?

I don't want super-cheap see through stuff - but thin good quality maybe technical fabrics. All thoughts welcome.

I buy merino tshirts for travel from icebreaker or decathlon. Silk blouses or dresses from any brand... Try a john lewis or house of fraser search, maybe. Cashmere from brora, boden or uniqlo, depending on budget. Rohan may have a few items which arent too dowdy. Also, simple jersey skirts and tops from h&m are light and dont wrinkle too much.

Rohan, merino is brilliant for warmth and cool ( Finisterre, icebreaker) jumpers/tees etc, uniqlo Heattech and Airism and their UV hoodies and lightweight down jackets, Patagonia. Look at the onebag subreddit - lots of good ideas.
