Face cream and cleanser recommendations

Hi,
I have dry skin and over the last year and a half I have developed loads of spots. I went to the GP who prescribed an acne cream which I used for 4 months, it made my skin disgusting and flaky and the spots have spread so I gave up on that.
I've been using mocellar water and a bog standard facial moisturiser but I'd be happy to spend a bit more (not loads, £5-10 each) on a moisturiser and cleanser that will help
Clear my spots.
Does anyone have any good recommendations? I'm really down in the dumps about it.

Hello - not an expert but micellar water isn't good enough for every day cleaning. It doesn't get everything off. You need a really gentle sensitive skin non-foaming cleanser. Try La Roche Posay. And you also need a gentle moisturiser. Have a look at Dr Sam Bunting's advice - she does YouTube videos and blogs on acne.

Or use the m. water followed by a creme/ balm hot cloth, for really good cleansing.
