Topshop Jamie Jeans - Stretch over time?

AaaaaaarghhhWhereAreMyKeys · 17/01/2017 12:43

A sales assistant in topshop recommended I buy a size down as apparently Jamie jeans stretch lots over time.....So, I've been wearing them for a couple of hours (with tags on) and they're still uncomfortably tight on the waist. I don't want them skin tight but also not to fall down.

Do they loosen up with washing etc?

Thanksx

I've had mine for well over a year and mine haven't stretched to a bigger size. They become a bit looser on the second day, but never baggy. And after a wash, they're absolutely fine, back to tight on the first wear.

I think they're true to size for me. I've got a black pair and I'm pleased they've stayed black.

That sounds about right...if they were going to stretch I think they'd have done it within a few hours.

I'm a 31 waist and bought a 30 in all 3 colours I've had them in - they're just right but I do always wear a belt anyway.

My Jamies seemed a bit looser after a couple of wears. Just bought two pairs in different sizes to try on at home (£80), went into large Sainsbury's & bought an identical pair - the £16 ones, not the £14. Absolutely lovely - no overstretching, wore them all week on my ski trip & they stayed snug.

Well I bought 30 but am 32 when I breathe in so they definitely are too small Blush!

Will also look at Sainsbos - thanksx
