Can anybody recommend a good dark grey eyeliner please?

I have so many eyeliners it's getting silly, but all my attempts at the 'perfect' dark, charcoal grey either just look black on, are too pale and look silver, or have a bluey hue to them.

Watching with interest - black can sometimes be too harsh, the wrong shade of brown makes you look tired, and grey can be a good compromise.

Stila do a good one. I only wear dark grey eyeliner.

Mac? I used to have a good one in dark grey - it was the mechanikohl range.

Nars do a really great one

NYX do one that I have. They're very cheap. NYX pencils are probably the best one I've ever used.

L'Oreal do a good charcoal grey pencil, definitely not a silver. It's about £5 and stays on all day.

Maybe not dark enough but I use urban decay 24/7 in mushroom.

Slightly missing the point, but don't spend £££ on Estée Lauder double wear. I got very excited when I discovered soft, smudgy, longlasting non black pencils and bought dark grey, dark purple and navy. I can't get out of the bathroom before they are halfway down my face.

The NYX one is nice.

As is the Barry M one, though its paler than the NYX one.

Gosh? I quite like their eyeliners.

stila for a pen and chantecaille for a pencil. I love grey liner. Makes me look much less shattered, for a start.

I use phone number by MAC - love it!

YSL do a lovely mid grey liquid eyeliner with a fine brush. Very soft and flattering, and lasts well.

I have a Barry M metallics grey that I use loads (not the longest lasting admitedly but it has a slight sparkle which is nice)

bobbi brown gel pencil eyeliner ( not the pot)

The Barry M metallic one is my favourite. It doesn't look as sparkly on as you might think.

And if Barry M isn't cheap enough, the other one I love is a flat grey one from Poundland. Last of the big spenders, I am.

No.7 do a good grey kohl one.

I've tried them all. From Sisley to rimmel. The best I've tried is...Topshop 'waterproof' liner, just a stay putting kohl, blends amazingly. Shade is Gunpowder. At £5 a stick it's literally brilliant.

Loads to try out here - Sensei I remember now, years ago I used to use a no.7 grey eyeliner and I loved it, then it ran out and the replacement one I bought was completely different; you had to scrape it really hard around your eyes to get any colour. I asked somebody on the no.7 counter and she said the formula had changed. Maybe they've changed it again now tho?

I think Elizabeth Arden does a pencil one in smoke. I have the espresso. I love it.

Haha, I occasionally go in (pretending to accompany my daughter who enjoying browsing the insane size 4 crop tops) but yes their make up is genuinely brill. A few posts on here re their brill nail polish, stays on for yonks with no7 top coat, all very mac esque but at a few quid each..

Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline pencil. It's an update of the 24/7 Glide on eye pencil. It's the best I've ever used and lasts a whole day at work without melting or smudging. I use dark brown but they do 2 shades of grey IIRC. Worth the money.
