help me dress for a royal occasion! busty and short...

hello everyone... i'm 5'2in and very busty, probably a size 12 - 14 waist / hips but a 36 GG cup or thereabouts

i've been invited to a royal occasion and the style it says is "lounge suit / day dress"....

i'm not sure what that means exactly but on looking it up it looks like a smart but not OTT dress that is somewhere between below the knee and floor length - correct me if I am wrong?

I never wear dresses as they look terrible on me, usually cause i can't get the right size bust to fit my waist etc, and just cause they rarely look nice with my boobs.

i don't have a very large budget either, which could be an issue (maybe up to around £100 for a dress but if less much better!).

Any ideas welcome!! and any thoughts on what "lounge suit / day dress" might mean would also be helpful (do i need gloves? hat? cardi? jacket?)....?

NB it's not the queen's household but at a very close relative of hers...

any ideas for places to get cool dresses appreciated! It's rapidly approaching...

I would try St. Bustier, e.g. the Rita dress suits a curvy figure though they advise up to a G cup , bear in mind their returns policy means you need to send the thing back very quickly as they are quite severe about the cut off.

Also consider Vivienne Westwood (there may be some in the sales) and Bombshell London.This is nice.

Get an appt with a personal stylist - they will work with your budget and the occasion. Lots of dept stores have them - book a couple.

I am very similar size to you, maybe a bit larger and also 5' 2". I asked the same question on here last year for something to wear for my DD's wedding.

Got same advice and reluctantly, I booked a personal shopper appointment (Debenhams, Trafford Centre).

thank you so much everyone...! I've now been informed that it's more like business dress / smart than evening wear with no need to wear hat, gloves etc... so that should make things a bit easier...! However i guess i need to find a jacket...that could be a little difficult.

I will defo book an appointment with debenhams personal shopper! and also take a look at St Bustier and the other recommends!!
