How much is too much for a pair of shorts?

I bought a bunch of shorts for around £35 each - sale price. Contemplating on returning them.

Is the price ok for these?

I normally buy cheap shorts and admittedly these look like they have better quality.

Do you wear shorts often? If so then a decent pair can be well worth it. I had a fab pair that lasted years and years but then I live in Scotland so very little need for shorts!!!

Yes, actually I do. I live in Australia. I guess I'm just not used to spending for shorts because my previous buys were from chain supermarkets.
