Work wear for a very short person

Hi, I struggle to find nice smart work clothes as I am only 4'11" and I am thin but I am quite well muscled so not dainty. I have very s short legs so very very hard to find decent trousers. I usually wear nice dresses, black tights and smart blazer. I'm a teacher and in a new job and the board's are really high up so I have to really reach, risking flashing the students 😱

I was wondering if you could help give me ideas?

It sounds as if you dress reasonably smartly for work. Have you tried a neat pair of trousers?
These ones from Banana Republic are 28" in petite.
You could wear them with a fine knit or a shirt/top.

Although this article is a couple of years old, the information is probably still quite relevant (except the mention of BHS!)

I hadn't heard of Jeetly

The Precis selection at Just Last Season may have some useful staples too, that you could update with more fashionable things.

I wear petite trousers and find that the shortest of the petite ranges is Dorothy Perkins - sometimes too short!! Defo worth a look.
