Amazon - Buying shoes

I am an Amazon virgin
I recently bought Van Dal shoes as a present for my aunt from Amazon.
They arrived today but were not in a Van Dal box.
They were in an 'IMAC' box with the slogan - light, flexible anatomical on the side.
The name of the shoe ( on the Van Dal website) was on a label on the box sent.
Van Dal is on the inside of the shoe.
I know EBay has counterfeit goods.
Is Amazon reliable ?
Please excuse my naivety.

If the seller was Amazon then items should be genuine, but there are many other sellers on there. If sold or 'fulfilled' by Amazon then talk to their C's who are very good.

I've only bought shoes from Amazon once. They arrived in a plastic 'Amazon' bag but the box inside was the brand's own. I would query it.
