Hair Help!

I've had some disastrous balayage done by a hairdresser. My hair is usually long and very dark brunette. It has had permanent colour in to cover minor greys from time to time but was shiny and in good condition.

The balayage has left me with big gingery / blonde areas which looks really bad in general and against my skin tone. It also feels quite dry.

Realistically is there anything that can be done to tone it down or return it more closely to my natural colour? Would appreciate advice as trying to figure out what it's worth asking another hairdresser to rectify? Thank you 😊
