Opaque always

AFierceBadRabbit · 13/01/2017 10:32

I wear both but depending upon the occasion.

For instance, i go into town to get some shopping or walk to a friend's house, I will wear opaques (from sept to april).

For a night out, event, more sheer, especially with a shorter dress/skirt and low heels. They can be unforgiving if you are not happy with your legs and knees, but otherwise i love the sheer look for evenings.

I'm with a FierceBadRabbit on this. Opaques for day, sometimes go sheer at night.

Opaque or sheer black tights?

definitely both

chemicalCat · 13/01/2017 10:42

Agree with the general idea: opaques for day, sheer (er) for night. Although I think the shorter the outfit, the more opaque the tights should be.

BTW, In that photo I'd say the tights are fairly opaque - 40 denier? - probably the light/ flash giving them a sheer look. I'd say sheer was 15 denier and under.

HappyGirlNow · 13/01/2017 14:45

I wear 30 denier for night so somewhere in between..

Liiinoo · 13/01/2017 14:57

I dislike sheer black tights because they look a bit prison officer/parking warden. For formal outfits I prefer sheer skin tone or sheer barely black. When wearing shorter things I go for black opaques.

BusterGonad · 13/01/2017 15:46

Good photo fierce it makes sheet look cool again! 😂

Bluntness100 · 13/01/2017 15:49

Those tights in the image are not sheer, they are semi opaque.

BusterGonad · 13/01/2017 15:52

Sheer....ffs!

BusterGonad · 13/01/2017 15:53

Yes. You're right bluntness but they do look great though.
