Fitness tracker that looks nice?

A very shallow and rubbish question: can anyone recommend an activity tracker which actually looks all right?

I've currently got a very basic step tracker which also tells the time and not much else. What I'd really like is something that does those, possibly tracks sleep as well, but doesn't look like a crap heap of plastic.

Any recommendations?

The Bellabeat necklace. It also tracks sleep, stress levels and your period. It is used with a smartphone.

I have an (elderly) Fitbit Flex made quite beautiful by a rose gold accessory which I got from Etsy, the shop is called Bytten.
I get tons of compliments on it. Check out the Etsy shop.

I think the Fitbit Alta is pretty inoffensive.

iamamickey · 09/01/2017 13:54

I have the Bella Beat. It's fab. The interface is so much better than the fit bit range and it's super accurate.

iamamickey · 09/01/2017 13:55

My Bella beat. Can also be worn clipped into clothes or as a necklace

I have the misfit ray which tracks sleep and activity and also swimming laps.

KatharinaRosalie · 09/01/2017 14:02

I think the Jawbone ones look pretty, the gold and silver ones are like jewellery jawbone.com/fitness-tracker/up3

DaisyBD · 09/01/2017 14:39

would you recommend the ray, bruffin? I used to have the misfit shine, which I chose mainly to record swimming, but it never worked properly even if I did remember to tap it three times before starting, and eventually it fell out of the strap and got lost. I've been looking for another swimming tracker on and off and I'm definitely getting lazier without one.

teawamutu · 09/01/2017 17:51

Thanks all - I ideally wanted a wrist one, although the Bella is gorgeous.

Had seen the Jawbone ones and would def go for it but the Amazon reviews seem to suggest they break a lot - can anyone vouch for them?

ive swam with it 3 times Daisy.
you do have to tap it 3 times and it vibrates and starts flashing to show it is tracking.
First time i didnt get the 3 taps right so didnt realise it wasnt teacking yntil i stopped and checked.
2nd time i swam at the olympic pool and it tracked me as 30 lengths , which i think was right.
3rd time was during my lesson. We did 50 ,it tracked 42 but that was because we did 4 leg only and then some one arm work. so only picked up the arm that was moving with it on, which makes sense.
we then did another 14 after the lesson which it was right.
my dd has the misfit shine 2 and the app is exactly the same., but she hasnt bought the speedo extra which i have.

This is my Fitbit charge 2 with a metal strap.. I've had lots of comments since I changed from the rubber strap.

Swarovski has kind of a sparkly one that looks more like a bracelet than an activity tracker.

KatharinaRosalie · 10/01/2017 09:24

I've had my Jawbone 3 for more than a year, daily use, no issues.
A friend complained that hers stopped charging, but it was exchanged, no trouble.

DaisyBD · 11/01/2017 11:54

thanks bruffin - I think it was the three taps that I couldn't get the hang of with the shine. I'm not sure a good swimming tracker actually exists yet Grin

KatyS36 · 11/01/2017 16:59

Swimovate is a specialist swim tracker. It worked brilliantly but as I now mainly do coached sessions my only aim is to complete the session.

I have a Withings Activité wristwatch, I think it looks like an ordinary watch but it tracks your movement, your sleep pattern and swimming too. It links to an app on my smart phone and is also compatible with other fitness apps such as Runkeeper. You don't even have to 'tell it' when you're about to start swimming it just knows. Smile

amazonianwoman · 12/01/2017 00:15

Withings Activite Steel preferably with a leather strap Smile

Insertwitticismhere · 12/01/2017 00:23

I've got a Fitbit Alta with the stainless steel bangle the rubber strap is better if you are doing actual sporty things but for day to day wear the bangle looks much smarter.

cdhusband · 12/01/2017 16:54

Another vote for withings activite steel, I've had a few compliments since I started wearing mine this week...

OneOfTheGrundys · 12/01/2017 17:37

I had an Activite Pop which was ok... The watch itself was v heavy for me (compared to the simple fitness bands) and the silicone strap discoloured and broke in about a month of use. It got sweaty underneath too!

I loved the functionality though, and the analogue appearance was great. It wasn't fool able either. Not sure if I'd recommend the Pop overall.

teawamutu · 12/01/2017 18:15

I didn't know anything like the Withings existed! Pricey but gorgeous, will have to think carefully but thank you.

Timetobookaholiday · 15/01/2017 22:28

I brought it from Amazon... out £11...it's just as easy as the normal straps to change
