I suffer with chilblains and I need some warm boots. Mainly to wear casually with jeans. I like low heel ankle boots, especially Chelsea boots. My poor toes thank you in advance.

Have a look at leather Uggs. I've got some biker style ones that are waterproof and sheepskin lined so are really warm.

Thank you. Have just looked at those and I'm not keen. Would prefer something a bit less slouchy? Thanks for replying though.

Timberland do Waterproof leather in various styles. I have a pair of reasonably smart brown boots (not their more well known workman type ones). Robust enough for every day / school runs in the rain etc but smart enough to wear with a dress.

Mamia15 · 09/01/2017 11:31

ANother vote for Timberland boots as many of these are lined. I have a pair of the pull on ones which are brilliant for wearing with jeans and denim/cord skirts/dresses.

Branleuse · 09/01/2017 11:34

what about those sheepskin lined doc martens

skippy67 · 09/01/2017 16:18

Timberlands might be the way to go. Thank you. Mamia could you please link to the ones you have?

Couldn't find them on the main Timberland site but found these on Amazon:

Pull on boots

What about Klara Winter Boots? I am thinking of getting them as my old Merrell Taigas are biting the dust as we speak.

They apparently also have a zip, so you don't have to faff around with lacing up and down.

SpringSpringSpring · 09/01/2017 17:11

Lined docs sound amazing - are they comfy?

thanksamillion · 09/01/2017 17:15

Not sure what styles are around now but I'm on my 4th year of wearing a pair of Geox boots which are totally waterproof and really warm. They were expensive but worth it.

mishmash1979 · 09/01/2017 17:16

Timberland nellie are what I have just replaced my worn out leather uggs with. Feel like they will last longer than the 2 yrs my uggs did

OCSockOrphanage · 09/01/2017 17:33

Love the Klara boots: I am tempted!

jelliedeel · 09/01/2017 22:22

Have you seen Ugg Lavelles....too casual?

christinarossetti · 09/01/2017 22:28

I invested in a pair of Blundstones this winter. Waterproof, warm and Chelsea boot looking.

neet252 · 09/01/2017 22:38

I recommend Timberland also. Been wearing various boots of the same brand for a few years now. They are robust, keep you warm (especially the lined one), have longevity and look great! I'm a size 3, so I fall into the kids category with Timbs. A little limited with styles with this but still manage to find some that I like. I always buy them from Amazon. Much cheaper!

skippy67 · 10/01/2017 07:43

Thanks all! Have ordered the ones in Mamia's link, and the Klaras. Will report back.

skippy67 - how did you find Klaras? I had a a last minute attack of doubt (and empty wallet Blush) so haven't purchased them yet.

skippy67 · 13/01/2017 09:41

Didn't like them on my size 8 feet. Lovely lovely boots though.
