hopefully i'm not going to get flamed for this...?! i've always resisted ugg and ugg style boots (despite trying on my sisters and thinking they were the comfiest things ever) but for christmas my DH bought me some and i love them. they're these www.ugg.com/uk/wilcox/190108198348.html?CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=CjwKEAiA17LDBRDElqOGq8vR7m8SJAA1AC0_YoSO_lt7aa4MvzV7kn2sxXe3IMzmlG7ffGfeifOUmhoC_V3w_wcB&CATCI=aud-74618946339%3Apla-267708939070&_%24ja=tsid%3A74277%7Ccid%3A598871247%7Cagid%3A10803043779%7Ctid%3Aaud-74618946339%3Apla-267708939070%7Ccrid%3A50249661699%7Cnw%3Ag%7Crnd%3A1496284954993450099%7Cdvc%3Am%7Cadp%3A1o1&CAWELAID=620010700000089093&CAAGID=10803043779&source=eggl_ppc_pla&k_clickid=22037853-9cbe-dd88-abaa-000027e5468f_411_pg9365__m biker style and they're leather so not your usual soft exterior. anyway i've tried them on just around the house and they're really hurting my toes! it feels rigid and not soft inside like i expected. do i need to 'break them in' and are all uggs like this or should i send them back?

From memory of when mine were new a good few years back that sounds normal, especially if they are the leathery ones.

I felt like I was walking with flippers on at first, and driving was another matter!

guiltynetter · 04/01/2017 15:38

yes they feel like flippers! i've never had 'expensive' boots before, usually just new looks finest Blush i'm worried to keep them in case they don't get comfier then it's a waste...

Yes, you need to break them in! I got some a few months back and found them quite small made but now they're sooo comfy so hopefully you should be fine in a couple of weeks.

They're lovely by the way Smile

Namechangenurseryconcerns · 04/01/2017 15:50

Yes. I'm wearing my 4 year old ones right now and they're the most comfortable things ever. But I remember thinking I'd made an expensive mistake when I first got them!

TheNaze73 · 04/01/2017 15:58

Ugg boots are lovely. Break them in gently & they'll last & you'll love them for years.

guiltynetter · 04/01/2017 16:23

thank you this is encouraging!

Going against the grain here, but I recently got some leather Simmens Uggs - also biker style - and they were comfy from the first day. I have very difficult feet and usually need a month of wearing round the house and massaging the leather to soften, but I wore these to walk to work (a good 30 minutes) the day after I bought them.

CateGory8 · 04/01/2017 18:56

I love these boots, have been passively looking for some biker boots. Thanks for the post op.

polyhymnia · 04/01/2017 23:08

I also bought some 'new style classic' Uggs in New York recently ( grey Abree Mini) and wore them straight away to tramp around in
(had to as it was snowy) and have to say they were comfortable straight away. They were the soft suede type, not 'hard' leather bikers, etc.

imjessie · 05/01/2017 20:06

Get the next size up . I wear one size up in leather uggs

polyhymnia · 06/01/2017 14:18

Yes, good advice on one size up. I did that.

MikeUniformMike · 06/01/2017 14:29

Me too. I would send them back and get the next size up. What a nice DH.

guiltynetter · 06/01/2017 17:20

ohh i'm glad i checked back here. good idea on the one size up, it's free returns/exchanges so ill do that.
