We're going to a party at friends' house - will maxi dress be OK? It's gold-ish jersey from Phase 8. I'm 53. Alternatives are black dress (knee length, yawn) or sequin skirt and black top, again a bit yawn. Would happily chop maxi dress to mid calf??? Was bought for James Bond party at an outlet so not special.

Pretty please help - am really not good at this. Have already worn my favourite red dress with exact same friends this Christmas so want a change.

Hospital gown. I'm in hospital with a bastardised ear infection that had ruptured my eardrum. Said gown is accessorised with blood and pus from my ear 🙁

A reindeer onsie which is already on. I have shaved my legs to celebrate the new year though.

If going out dress up I say (but then I'm watching a monsters high movie with gin).

We've been out for a nice lunch, and I am about to have a bath and put pyjamas on. If I was going out I'd be in the leather mini/sparkly knit/opaques/flat boots camp.

Skinny jeans, sparkly top and heels for me as we are only going to the local. Usually would have put on a posh dress but cba this year

It was going to be a denim dress and navy ankle boots for cinema and casual meal out but DD is sick and DH has a cold so it is PJs, pizza and the Hootenanny.
