Ombré hair

I really want my hair like this but my natural colour is kinda mousey brown so it's usually all highlighted - would a hairdresser dye the roots darker to get the effect, is that how it would be done?

I wouldn't want to just let it grow out cos my natural colour isn't great & also if my hair isn't dyed it's really limp!

Yes they would. It may take a couple of visits to hairdresser before you get the correct effect. You may also have to be skin tested for toner.

I used to have this done and yes they died the roots dark and the ends blonde. It took forever! About 5 hours. Got so fed up with it.
