How would you style the Hush Tara dress?

I'm going for a night out and I want to wear my new Hush Tara dress in black. I'm a bit worried about looking like I'm off to a funeral if I wear my black biker boots and some black tights. Anyone got any suggestions?

I don't think that sounds funereally at all - I'm sure somebody will day to wear burgundy tights or something but I hate coloured tights...I would just wear some bright lipstick, a huge stack of bracelets/bangles and maybe a big drapey scarf or a biker/faux fur jacket for outside.

I've got the burgundy Tara. I wear it with a long gold pendant (Oasis), opaques and leopard print ankle boots.

I wore mine this week to a Christmas lunch and to cheer it up I wore a draped scarf. I also wore a black cashmere wrap over it. It's a very slimming outfit !

Thank you for your advice. I've decided on charcoal tights and a sparkly scarf. And yes, quite slimming.
