I need a new one... usually use benefit bad gal, but it doesn't dry v well and it ends up smudging a bit. Any personal recommendations?

'Code VLM' mascara, best I've ever used, and I've tried LOTS. It doesn't clump, doesn't flake, doesn't smudge under your bottom lashes. It's not cheap (it's £20), but it's so worth it. I only ever need to put one layer on for daywear, whereas with others (maybelline, revlon, max factor, ysl etc etc) I've had to layer up to get anything near decent. Fuck, I'm swooning over a mascara, FFS.

I used to use they're real benefit mascara. It is good in terms of really lengthening your lashes but I find it smudges easily.

I recently bought Mary Kay love lash mascara and although it doesn't make my lashes as long, it doesn't smudge or clump! I would recommend it.

Maybelline Lash Sensational
Rimmel 3D Extra Lash
L'OREAL Volume Million

All brilliant

I've been using L'oreal Miss Manga and it really does lengthen lashes.

JennyHolzersGhost · 16/12/2016 09:09

Following with interest. I use Laura Mercier extra lash but it's a little on the clumpy side and I find it doesn't look particularly subtle.

No7 intense volume waterproof

Dior Addict
Lancôme Hypnose baby doll both fantastic

Try a tubing mascara, which shouldn't smudge. I find that benefit they're real stays on all day, no smudging and makes my lashes look full. I've heard some people say that it's a bugger to get off, but I find it comes off easily with micellar water.

I have m&s semi permanent and love it it's really good at separating and elongating with one coat, I would say it does come off well with face wash, at first I found it stuck more to my face than my eyelashes but sorted now with a different facewash, it does smudge it rubbed when wet but won't run if you don't touch it.

I have tried so many high end mascara over the years, but always go back to Max Factor's Masterpiece Max. It's the best I've ever used, so I gave up trying others as nothing is as good as this. It doesn't clump, last well, lengthens and thickens my medium length fine lashes. I do think with mascaras, like all other make-up and skin care, that there isn't one that suits everyone; different lash thickness, length etc.

PolaDeVeboise · 16/12/2016 12:48

I second what Plock says about Masterpiece Max.

hollyisalovelyname · 17/12/2016 09:25

I just don't get the love for Max Factor Masterpiece.
I found it just ok.
I love Chanel Le Volume.

TallulahBetty · 17/12/2016 09:27

Maybelline lash sensational. It does EVERYTHING I want. Length, volume, colour and curl.

puglife1 · 17/12/2016 09:35

Thick and fast by soap and glory.

Northernmum100 · 17/12/2016 09:35

L'Oreal Double Extension is my favourite. One end of the tube is the 'undercoat' and the other is the colour topcoat and it does a top job making my stumpy little lashes a bit more Bambi like😊

BlackAzalea · 17/12/2016 09:39

Have tried loads over the years, used to love Helena Rubinstein Spectacular but don't know if they still do it. Always buy waterproof now and my current fave is Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Feline Blacks (good brush, mascara not too gloopy or dry and pretty packaging !)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/12/2016 09:50

My DD has amazing eyelashes (not Envy or anything but she must've got them from DH, mine are rubbish)

She loves Tarte Cosmetics Tartiest Lash Paint.

I bought a Kiko mascara, not used it yet, might do today and report back.

I also like bad gal but had a same problem. The only one i found that similar is laura mercier faux lash. it doesn't smudge as much.
