Can I get away with this look for a mom's night?

Calling all fashionistas!
I'm going out on Friday for Christmas drinks at a friend's house with lots of other moms from my children's school. I'm planning on wearing black trousers, and a sheer, floaty, high necked black blouse. The overall look is conservative and smart if somewhat bland.
Is it too smutty er, risky to just wear a bra underneath my sheer blouse and forego a vest? I think it looks better but I'd be worried it was a step too far. Only other moms will be there...

If the top is sheer enough to have to ask the question then it's probably best to wear a cami.

Good god, I'd clear the room if I wore only a bra under a chiffon top.

But if you've got the figure, go for it.

Got the figure or not, its inappropriate. Wear a vest or a different top.
A lot of people realise thay see through can be more erotic and sexy than plain skin. So, just because it's high neck and a conservative cut, it doesn't mean that wearing just a bra underneath will maintain that. Too racey.

I'd agree, for drinks at a friends house with other mums, i wouldn't wear a sheer top and just a bra underneath. Wear something underneath it.😂

If I was going out to a bar or something I would not necessarily wear a vest. If I was going to a friend's house I think would wear one.

Actually, I would wear a vest all the time because it's winter and I'd get cold.

I think with the right bra and the right figure that can be a great look for a club or party, but for a girls night in I think it might look a bit OTT.
