I ordered some presents at the end of November. Tracking suggests they've been sent via France but have been in transit there for 5 days. Is it normal to take so long?

Also, the tracking info suggests I may need to pay import duty, does anyone know how much if I do?
I purchased in sterling from the UK website.

As far S I'm aware there isn't a UK site? Just the American one

This explains it. On top of this there is usually an admin fee for Royal Mail of around £20. If you bought from a site that claims to organise and pay all this for you and usually charges in your own currency, my experience is that it's usually shipped through another country - the last time I did it was about three years ago, and it took 10 weeks - never bothered again.

If you ordered from the UK website you won't have to pay customs charges, they're included in the £ prices.
Customer services on their website gives details and also shipping times here.

Thanks all. I've received an email from DPD advising of delivery today so I presume that's it. Panic over.
