Size 5 (I think) and need some good hard wearing boots for everyday use (city pavements). Any suggestions welcome. Slight heel is ok but no stilettos or anything more than 2 inches. Xmas Smile

Me again :) Look up beau coops. You need a minimum 1 heel, ideally closer to an inch for all day walking. Barbour if you like the rugged look, I think Russell and Bromley are nice but haven't had a pair long enough to give a proper opinion! Something like these... www.russellandbromley.co.uk/ankle-boots/ode-dry/invt/372398
my favourite boots are knee high, black leather, a 2 inch heel and almost 10 years old... I hope they last forever!

Actually don't look up beau coops. Beautiful leather but seem hard to find in the uk. (I'm an Aussie)

I love Jolson boots. Decent price and comfortable

Ted and Muffy. Super comfortable, hard wearing. They do different calf widths too. Just lovely.
