Does Russell & Bromley have a decent sale after xmas?

is it worth waiting to buy shoes?

As a regular at R and B sales, they rarely put this season's shoes in the sale. Or handbags for that matter. If there is a pair you really want, you could wait until the sale starts, see if they are in it, if not, buy them anyway.

I thought as much.
It's their classic loafers I'm after ..probably will not be in the sales.

Last year the sale started Saturday 18/12, in store only - wonder if it might be 17/12 this year as 24/12 seems a bit late?

What size shoe are you? Think their children's shoes go up to a 5 1/2, so you get classic loafers much cheaper that way.

I have seen loafers in their sale but often a one-off never repeated colour. Black or brown never get into the sales!

I'm a long time and enthusiastic R and B customer but have to say I've never seen shoes I really want in the sale - often odd colours, etc. Not big reductions on mainstream stuff such as you get at other places I buy from, e.g., LKB, Whistles, Hobbs, Poetry.
Having said that, a friend did get a nice pair of boots in last year's sale and I once in all these years have found a bag I hadn't seen on display earlier which has been great. So worth a look but disappointing compared to similar retailers.
