Help me find a Padded WARM coat for DM

My DF has asked me to help buy Christmas present for DM. She did mention she'd like a warm padded type of coat recently, she has lots of smart coats, but needs something more casual. DM is 74, but still rather funky in her own way. Would suit something in a colour (not black or khaki). I've been looking for something fairly bright, but had no luck. Any ideas where I could try. Budget no problem, but she is a size 16 which rules out a few shops. TIA

Gap. I have a lovely snuggly one.

Badgerloco · 10/12/2016 21:18

I have any there are no nice colours, she hates navy and anything black or Khaki makes here look too masculine apparently!!

I would say Gap too. They love a colour in there. Maybe decathlon.

Unilqo down ones?

My mum has a brilliant one which she got in John Lewis. She was scandalised at having to size up but she wears it constantly. Think it's a weekend max Mara one. I have an aigle one and it's on it's 4th winter of hard wearing and still immaculate so can recommend that. Not sure if later sizes though

I got a gorgeous trespass coat in the sale. Really cosy and warm, properly waterproof and look nice too. I got a silvery grey one but they had pink, blue and real coloured ones too. Added pic for your info.

Forgot to say, it is soooo warm, and I'm an 18, and in the large as opposed to the XL!

For warmth, padding, colour and generous sizing you need Land's End.

BikeRunSki · 10/12/2016 21:25

Something like this lots of others on their website.

What about something like this....http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/marmot-montreal-insulated-down-coat-womens-p282517

Lots of outdoor makes do bright colours...rab, north face etc.

Look on QVC (qvcuk.com) at Centigrade.
Lots of style, colours but the majority are padded warm style.
I'm a 14-16 top half, my coats are M/L depending on the measurements they come up with.

30 Day Money Back Guarentee (up to 25th Jan if it's a Christmas present)

I have 3 at the moment , I've had more in the past but gradually sent them off to charity shops when I've purged through my clothes)

I don't work for QVC btw Grin

I got a purple one for my mum from Landsend - not glamorous, but tremendously warm.

bigbuttons · 10/12/2016 22:22

Didriksons, every time, seriously. I hate the cold and now no longer worry about it . They are extremely well made and extremely warm, but light. I have had so many people compliment me on mine and ask to try it on.

Badgerloco · 11/12/2016 22:14

Thankyou I will let ok into all of these.
