Hair emergency

It's my work Christmas party tonight. I couldn't make my hair appointment today (was only planning on a blow dry) and my hair is a disaster.

I have dry shampoo, some hair clips a hair brush and nothing else.

I have shoulder length dark frizzy hair that is in need of a wash. It's currently in a bun.

Is there anything I can do to make me look half respectable? Or, even, a little bit smart/party-ready?

What's wrong with a bun? I'd leave it as it is. I don't think people will be paying that much attention to your hair.

It's a bit severe looking. I had planned to have my hair down to look a bit more relaxed.

(I know nobody will be pay attention to my hair, but I'd kind of like to look a bit nice. People do go all out for the party - two of my staff are going home to get hair done & change before coming back in)

I'd keep the bun personally.

what about a low side bun? It will look softer

Can you acquire a small hair elastic, add half a can of dry shampoo and go for a half up do?

dry shampoo, back comb the roots a bit (you may not need to but my hair is quite fine), put up in a poufy, slightly punky beehive bun - looks glam but deliberately messy and positively benefits from being done on slightly grubby, dry shampooed to buggery hair Grin

It's going to have to be a bun. A bun looks better than shoulder length frizzy hair.

KickAssAngel · 09/12/2016 17:08

Yes, slightly scruffy but deliberately so bun. There are tutorials on youtube.

Thanks Grin went with the slightly scruffy bun but not as severe as the one I had at the start. The dry shampoo actually managed to sort out some of the worst friziness too, so I think I looked fairly decent.
