help!is this ok to wear out???

I'm in my very late 20's and haven't been out in 6-7 years.
I'm going out tonight to a social club,and I thought about wearing blue jeans,a cream/glittery jumper,Brown boots and a casual gilet.
I'm now having second thoughts...what do people wear to social clubs these days?is what I plan to wear too casual?

I love the sound of that, I've just bought a sparkly jumper dress and a lovely mink pink gillet. Your outfit sounds great, but do bear in mind I always over dress but the fact you are wearing jeans and boots sounds spot on to me!

It's in a town about a 30 minute walk from city centre.it's for a friends birthday,but more of an evening out than an actual party.x
