Hi guys. Didn't know where to ask these so I thought I'd start here.

Can anyone recommend any spa hotels in the south of England. (No higher up than London really)

Been to Portsmouth Marriott last time so not there really. After it being given near shopping opportunities/ some sort of town for a few drinks.

Me and my friend have been looking all afternoon and can't find anything this time. A spa is a must. Nice new year treat.

Thanks for your help ladies!!

Pennyhill Park in Surrey is glorious but pricey. Best spa facilities I've used, by a country mile.

For a cheap but brilliant spa break, try Charlton House in Somerset. 'Tis a fave in our circle. The spa breaks are much better value than the spa days bizarrely. Short hop to the Mulberry outlet (dangerous!) and Kilver Court designer village.

Bath Spa is about to have a refit of the steam rooms so not much point going until Summer 2017 when all the facilities are open again.

Is st Albans too far north? Because Sopwell House has a good spa and is close to the town centre.

The Gainsborough in Bath. Over the road from the thermae spa, the only hotel in the UK to have its own thermal waters. If you're feeling particularly flush you can even have a room that has thermal water coming out of the taps in the bathroom Shock.

Plus Bath has lots of nice restaurants and bars for the evening.

Carey's Manor in Brockenhurst is lovely, no major shopping but the village is nice with some good pubs.

The Harbour Hotel in St Ives and the Carbis Bay Hotel & Spa are both really lovely. Gorgeous place for a break too!
