I used to buy from Boden but this year's are cotton/polyester with no lycra!

Where can I get good quality ones from? Nice thick cotton with a good amount of lycra.

If it's to wear under shirts I totally recommend hanro because they don't crumple, are most comfortable and stay looking good forever. For plain white t shirts petit bateau is good however they don't contain Lycra and don't really go beyond a size 12.

daisydaisychain · 08/12/2016 08:51

Uniqulo are usually good for basics.

NamechangeforDN · 08/12/2016 09:57

I get mine from sainsbury's. I like mine long and they are a really good length. Also they are very cheap (£5 I think) so I buy a few at a time.

whiteonesugar · 08/12/2016 10:34

I get them from Primark!

Rustythedog · 08/12/2016 11:07

I recommend Hush. They are pricey though and maybe better for the summer when some of it may be visible. Veto Moda also do good ones with Lycra. Fine for under tops but unflattering on my stomach area so definitely for my eyes only.

Doobigetta · 08/12/2016 14:25

M&S lace trim one are really good- thick, soft, stretchy cotton and long enough to tuck in properly without riding up. I'd link but my iPad doesn't seem to like me pasting things any more.

Dancergirl · 08/12/2016 22:43

Thanks, I don't really want lace trimmed just plain. I mainly wear them under v-necked jumpers so I don't want them too low cut.

H&M are quite thick and keep their shape well, and I'm sure they're under £5. Daughter and I have a few

Botanicbaby · 08/12/2016 23:04

Agree with PP about H&M I've only recently ish discovered their vests and they're brilliant. They hold their shape well I love the ones with wide straps but that's personal preference ( I hate the skinny ones on me).

Shenanagins · 08/12/2016 23:07

H&M ones are the best ones I've found- much better than gap and M&S.

mimiasovitch · 08/12/2016 23:51

Matalan do fantastic long line ones for £4. I buy several at a time every time I go in. Excellent stretch recovery.

Moresaltedcaramel · 09/12/2016 09:01

Another vote for H&M! I think I have them in every colour!

rollonthesummer · 09/12/2016 09:03

I used to go for Marks and Spencer's but now buy from H&M-they are much better and cheaper. Long line (though do shorter ones for the summer) and hold their shape well.

Juicyfrooty · 09/12/2016 09:04

Another vote for h&m I have loads in all different colours, they wash and wear so well. I think they only cost about £3

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/12/2016 09:04

H&M have recently changed their vest tops. I lived in these when bf dd1 as they were long and nicely stretchy around the neckline to pull down. The new ones I've bought are much cheaper quality - thin, less stretch and the neckline can't be stretched (so it tears the stitching if you try). So not sure if people recommending them are still wearing/buying the old style

TheBruteSquad · 09/12/2016 09:05

H&M or Zara. Depending on how much Lycra you like! (H&M are more cottony and Zara more Lycray).

Rustythedog · 09/12/2016 09:38

My newer H&M vests were the thin non stretched ones too. Not great at all. At one stage Topshop had decent ones but unsure what they are like now but could be worth a look. They were always on offer too.

YouWereRight · 09/12/2016 09:51

I like the asos multipack ones. I like their body vests for under other clothing too.

NanoNinja · 09/12/2016 19:21

Have a look at lands end as well. The quality is usually very good. Just note that the sizing is enormous!

hecallsmebunny · 09/12/2016 19:42

Merkin I agree about H&M as I also had loads for bf. their summer ones were rubbish this year but recently bought a white one that seems more like the old style

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/12/2016 11:48

I'll keep checking their stock then bunny thanks
