£100 - is this summer dress worth it?

I like it, it's 100% cotton apparently and on sale for £100. It's summer where I am.

But I think it's too much?

It's on sale at £100. I'd hate to see the original price. Its nice gorgeous infact but. Its not £100 gorgeous.

secondhoneymoon · 07/12/2016 23:51

Sorry, no

BusterGonad · 08/12/2016 05:47

It's nice but hadn't knocked my socks off, but we all have different tastes, if it's your style and you'll wear it loads then go for it (if you have the money of course).

KoalaDownUnder · 08/12/2016 07:54

It depends partly on the brand/material/quality.

INeedNewShoes · 08/12/2016 07:57

The cut doesn't look particularly well done (see the wrinkle in the material near the model's left shoulder) and at that price you want it to be perfect.
I don't think its a flattering shape generally either.

QueenMortificado · 08/12/2016 07:57

Oh it's very pretty, and I reckon would fit much better on than it does on the model (looks too baggy). I reckon it would last for several years.

Where is it from? What was the original price?

If it fits and looks lovely then I'd buy it, but if in real life it looks like a primark cheapy then no

ThisChristmas · 08/12/2016 09:41

That does not look like £100 worth of dress.

It looks like it would be hard to style without appearing like you'd raided a dressing up box.

You could get much nicer summer pieces (several!) for £100.

Dozer · 08/12/2016 09:43

Suspect you could buy similar for a quarter of that price. White, however good quality, is at high risk of being stained!

wheresthewine36 · 08/12/2016 09:45

Pretty but doesn't look particularly well made. Being white, I would be lucky to get one season out of it, what with sticky children's hands grabbing at me. Oh, how I long to wear white again....

msrisotto · 08/12/2016 09:53

It is a nice dress, but it looks unflattering on the model and doesn't look £100.

burnishedsilver · 08/12/2016 10:48

No. It doesn't look the price.

Rustythedog · 08/12/2016 11:33

It is pretty. I like the skirt part more than the top. Is it for any occasion in particular?

Whether or not it is worth 100 pounds is relative to your lifestyle/bank balance. If you will get a lot of wear out of it and can easily afford it, then it is worth it.

If you would notice the money when it is gone from your account and would be upset if it stained etc, then it is not worth it.

KoalaDownUnder · 08/12/2016 11:41

I will also just say - I've got something similar, pure white slip with a heavier white crochet overlay, paid about $150AUD for it.

It's a pain in the arse because I've worn it twice: once a friend accidentally chucked RED wine all over it, and the second time, I dropped sushi in my lap. Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 08/12/2016 14:22

I am not exaggerating when I say that I bought a similar but much nicer dress (better quality?) from ecerythingfivepounds.com this summer.
