I'm looking for a couple of surprises for my 17 year old. Massively in to make up but her knowledge is better than mine. I would love to surprise her with a couple of fabulous bits. I know they might be pricey but can someone advise - she has loads of mac so something different?? Thanks

Definitely take a look at Charlotte Tilbury, their blush and lipstick sets are very nice although its all quite £££

Urban Decay is pretty popular, and so is NARS. For Brushes, Zoeva and Spectrum are really popular and so are Real Techniques, they're all really great quality too.

If you wanted to buy her some skincare bits, Pixi is a really popular brand, and Kiehls is really nice stuff.

I bet she knows loads about NYX and mid-range stuff already so why not get her something super posh that she wouldn't normally be able to afford. Charlotte Tilbury is a good shout.

I popped over here to ask the same . I'm looking foR skincare rather than makeup. I used to buy her the Elemis teen range but they have stopped it.

A second mention for the urban decay make up. Teens love it, especially the naked palettes and the new brushsets.

A kylie lipkit, or Jeffree Star liquid lipsicks. That's what my dd wants.

My neice has requested the Kylie Jenner holiday eyeshadow pallette.

I have told her to fuck off. It's sold out worldwide and selling on eBay for 65 quid. For over hyped squares of coloured powder all of which could be bought from bloody superdry and nary a penny given to those migraine inducing arseholes.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette was what DD17 wanted back in the summer (when she was 16!)

Dd is hoping for an Anastasia Beverley Hills Renaissance Palatte but it appears to be out of stock everywhere.
She's also wanted other bits and bobs off Beautybay.com which seems to have a few brands mentioned on here.

My dd is after Jeffree Starr velour liquid lip stuff.

Kiko, Benefit definitely and and Laura Mercier if you are pushing the boat out.

I'm in my 30s but am casting another vote for Charlotte Tilsbury. If your dd likes nice make up then she'll either appreciate it or the introduction to it.
