I'm having eyeliner tattoo done tomorrow ! I hope it'll look ok . Has anyone else had permanent makeup done ?

No. I would worry that I would end up looking like Liz Jones.

Eyeliner takes 2-5 minutes to apply depending on the look you're going for. You must have a very busy life!

Hope you like it otherwise you're a bit fucked. I'm sure a less pearl clutchy person will be along with some actual experience of this to reassure you that it will be fine and it will look fab.

Best of luck.

OrangeSquashTallGlass · 06/12/2016 07:23

Out of interest why are you having it done Milk?

I agree with Five, hopefully someone will be along soon who's had it done and can advise.

cheezy · 06/12/2016 07:25

do you mean permanent or semi permanent? (I thought most was semi lasting for about a year) The eyebrow makeup I've seen can look really good.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 06/12/2016 08:32

It's semi permanent Cheezy , my friends daughter needs models so that's why I'm having it done . She did our other friend last week and it's very subtle .

Five not so much a busy life as due to a serious RTA and massive injuries , I can't use my arm properly for fine motor skills . Wasn't going to say but your post is a bit sarcastic .

Oh no way would I do this, the potential for it to be awful is so high and no WAY would I be anyone's model as I'd want the mist experienced person in the while world getting near my eyes!

MollyHuaCha · 06/12/2016 08:39

You are being a model for someone to (gulp) practise permanent make up on... you are v kind, v brave 😄

I think in your circumstances I would.

A) you can't do it yourself
B) you've seen a prior client who now looks great so you have confidence in the person doing the treatment
C) face tattoos fade - reasonably quickly compared to other tattoos - so I think this is a procedure you could expect to be touching up again in 2-4 years. So any mistakes are likely to fade too.
D) if it makes you feel better why not?!

madmomma · 06/12/2016 08:43

I had my brows done because mine were weird. I had one an inch higher than the other. She leveled them out and did them in a really natural way. I only wanted the 'tattoos' as a guide for my makeup and plucking. I knew I was going to put makeup on them every day anyway so I just had them done lightly. I'm so pleases with them. My face looks much more symmetrical and my eyebrow makeup goes on in 5 seconds rather than 5 minutes of me trying to find a way to make one higher and one lower! I'd be interested in having the eyeliner done too. For someone like me who wears full makeup every day it's great because that 2 minutes you save is at the busiest time, and also it won't run or smudge. Mine runs a little when I yawn and migrates from my lower lash line to my eye bags. Good luck with today.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 06/12/2016 08:50

I'm only having it on the lower lashes ,she did my friends really well, it wasn't a harsh line ,she just sort of filled the gaps between the lashes so they look fuller IYSWIM .

I've had upper lid eyeliner & brows, done a year ago.

I love it.

It was quite sore getting it done, but it's bearable - took about a week for it all to heal properly.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 06/12/2016 09:04

Does it look ok without mascara ? mango

OP posts:
MangoMoon · 06/12/2016 09:46

I tend to still wear mascara & eyeliner when I 'do' my make up properly, I also get my lashes tinted anyway.

What it does for me is it stops my eyes disappearing when I've no make up on iyswim.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 06/12/2016 10:10

That's what I want , to stop my eyes disappearing !

I did have eyelash extensions which were amazing , wake up , look quite good .

I was being a bit sarcastic yes but in a mild mannered cheeky way rather than a mean spirited way.

Circumstances can make a massive difference so perhaps if you'd said you were unable to do it yourself I would have left the thread alone. You just sounded unconvinced yourself so I thought I'd express an opinion.

Anyway as I said, I'm a pearl clutcher and lots of people have come along to reassure you it will be fine.

I did mean best of luck. Why on earth would I want it to go badly? Smile
