I'm after a shirt for DH's Xmas present. Something smart but casual, that can go with jeans and adidas classic or converse trainers, as that's what he likes.

He has a few Fred Perry now, and a Superdry one, so where else can I look please?

There are so many! Banana Republic, Gap, Boden, Zara, Crew, White Stuff, Fat Face etc. More interesting - a local independent menswear shop. There are plenty that have classy shirts.

I'd say don't go for Marc Jacobs. Bought my husband one, it was (I tought) lovely on him. I haven't seen it in literally years.

Not sure what your budget is but John Lewis have a huge selection on their online shop, their own brand is very good and cheaper than the other brands they stock. I also like Joules.

My husband lives in crew clothing shirts. They're good quality, wash and wear well and there's normally some sort of offer on them.
