I'm not one of the brave ones Grin but just wondered if any of you especially the skincare addicts dare show us the benefits of all these products??

Skincare routine:
Have always been a skincare junkie, started having facials as a teen, eyecreams at the grand old age of 21.

Does it work? Maybe, I don't have any wrinkles yet. But that's probably down to genes more than owt else.

Wear make up every day & envy the confidence of those who don't.

Seen posts from the OP on other threads, don't think she's a DM journo, possibly just another skincare obsessive .......

ComedyBoobs · 06/12/2016 12:40

Ooops that took ages

Clankboing · 06/12/2016 12:45

I won't post a picture as trust me my skin is fine lol (plus want to stay anonymous). My 'routine' is pot luck but I do use the following ad hoc: simple foaming wash or soap or face wipes first thing in morning, nip and fab pads couple of times a week - just fab! Olay moisturiser every day on its own or under make up. Ponds cold cream to clean off make up. Aldi night cream.

Pidlan · 06/12/2016 12:48

You all have such lovely skin! I have horrid red lumps on my cheekbones, which I didn't have in my teens.

And you don't care about talk guidelines either? I don't know why you're being so coy about swearing when you're fine about having been deleted for personal attack already.

Are you always this aggressive and abusive?

BusterGonad · 06/12/2016 13:00

I use quite a simple skin care routine, I've probably told you it on another threat but I'll say it again! SmileBaby lotion to cleanse, I rub it all over my face and eye makeup. Not Johnsons though as it too harsh! Then I wipe it off with a damp cotton wool pad, then I use Simple eye make up remover, not the oily one, then I moisturizer. At the moment I use The Body Shop vitamin E day cream and The Body Shop serum in oil at night followed by a bit of eye cream. If my skin is in need of some real tlc due to eczema I'll use Aveeno. I don't bother with anti aging crap as my skin is very sensitive to the dodgy chemicals they use. This works for me, I'm also partial to Astral if I want a nice dewy look.

rightsofwomen · 06/12/2016 13:03

No make up.

Is anyone brave/confident enough to post a pic of their skin without any make up??
Itsalldramarama · 06/12/2016 13:11

Forgot to say moisturiser! I used to spend loads on new products but just use cetaphil or Nivea /astral ... oh and spf every day ! Should have done this 20 years ago !

BusterGonad · 06/12/2016 13:17

Manumission if you don't like this thread why don't you just not come on here? I don't really understand you tbh. If it's playgroundish and juvenile then why not look elsewhere? I do think you are being rather goady. You are being just as aggressive but without the bad language

Manumission · 06/12/2016 13:26

buster don't be silly. You know as well as I do that the rant she had deleted didn't contain swearing. It was just aggressive and out of proportion and batshit and full of personal attack.

Now it's gone she's playing all wide eyed innocent.

If she's just answered the original raised eyebrows she got calmly (before I even arrived) instead of throwing a fit of personal attacks. the thread wouldn't have gone this way.

BusterGonad · 06/12/2016 13:37

Man I don't mean to be silly! I'm enjoying a nice light hearted thread, maybe I am being silly, it's just a shame that a fun thread ends up a bit bitchy for no reason. I just don't know why people that don't wear make up (not just you) come on here with comments that have nothing to do with anything. I wouldn't go on a thread about about tattoos as I have no interest in tattoos, dyswim?

Manumission · 06/12/2016 13:39

WTF are you talking about? Where did you get the idea I don't wear make up? Confused

This just gets madder.

BusterGonad · 06/12/2016 13:42

Sorry Man I'm obviously talking total rubbish then, in that case I've put 2 and 2 together and one up 38! There we go I'm talking batshit! Some other negative posters most defiantly do not wear make up and you are not one them! My mistake Man. Confused . Still I can't deny it's turnt a bit sour.

Manumission · 06/12/2016 13:42

BTW there's a really good beauty FB group run by a lovely MNer, where everyone can safe pictures safely and nobody is aggressive of abusive or anonymous. And there are freebies and discounts. I'm going to slope over there for my fix. This thread is just way too crazy now.

LikeSilver · 06/12/2016 13:59

Thank you very much chiquita1 Flowers

My skincare routine, if anyone is interested, is oil cleanser (Body Shop Camomile cleanser or Una Brennan), serum (Body Shop Vitamin E) and Nivea Soft moisturiser in the morning, and double cleanse (Body Shop Camomile cleanser and a hot cloth cleanser, my favourite at the moment is M&S Pure but often use Superdrug's Vitamin E), serum (Superdrug B Nourished night serum), and moisturiser (Nivea Soft usually) or facial oil (love the Nuxe one but can't afford it very often). I use a face mask twice a week - I love the Body Shop charcoal one or the Tony Moly masks. I have normal to dry skin but it does NOT like acids, I rarely get spots but acid stuff like the Nip and Fab pads will break me out every time. I do all of this because I enjoy it more than because I think it actually does anything - I do think genes are the biggest factor. And keeping hydrated makes such a difference, to me at least.

Indecisivejo · 06/12/2016 14:00

I wish I hadn't started this thread now, I have a headache Xmas Angry

Don't worry about it indecisive, at the end of the day it's just a bit of chat on a forum! I've enjoyed it. Grin

LikeSilver · 06/12/2016 14:37

Don't rise to it indecisive. Thanks for the thread.

Itsalldramarama · 06/12/2016 14:52

wizzywig · 06/12/2016 15:04

oooh hollins im liking your makeup!

Konyaa · 06/12/2016 19:16

Not sure what's brace about it? I've never owned make up of any kind and am 31. Neither has my mum or aunts (age range 51-67). Neither does my mother in law (69) or my mentor (former PhD supervisor) 56.

Konyaa · 06/12/2016 19:18

You are not the thread head girl OP - the Internet doesn't quite work like that. You can't tell people to post or not to post. If people find something they want to disagree wth they will.

Indecisivejo · 07/12/2016 07:00

Oh gosh not another one Xmas Hmm
