I'm not one of the brave ones Grin but just wondered if any of you especially the skincare addicts dare show us the benefits of all these products??

Ummmm no Grin

specialsubject · 05/12/2016 18:31

never wear it, no-one has run away screaming yet. Hardly going to put a pic of my face up on MN and out myself!!

skin is normal for my age. The flat beige look with black and red circles is not one I aspire to.

Bluntness100 · 05/12/2016 18:37

My skin is fine to be honest, but I also have no desire to post my picture on mumsnet, made up or otherwise.

CaraAspen · 06/12/2016 00:28

A "tiny bit" of makeup is not no makeup.Confused

hollinhurst84 · 06/12/2016 00:47

I get that. OP asked for skin without makeup, I am not wearing any face makeup at all except for my eyelids

Ginkypig · 06/12/2016 01:46

I popped over to style and beauty for a bit of light easy reading but it seems to have gone all aibu! Both towards the op and the only lass who's posted a pic.

What's wrong people!

Saying that op il not be posting a pic but suffice to say I'm makeup free about 99.9% of the year so I must be very very brave Grin

hollinhurst84 · 06/12/2016 01:53

Not a clue. I'm amazed one eyeshadow, some liner and mascara is a lot of makeup and also that eye makeup counts in a post where the OP specifically says about skincare Confused
I'm fine posting photos because I generally post crap about skincare/makeup so nothing to hide

Manumission · 06/12/2016 02:24

"Haters"?

You mean "anyone with the temerity to disagree"?

There's one of those ghastly "princess ing" threads in progress on the Christmas forum. They might be your people.

Here's me. Bareskin. I've got bloody spots after changing my face wash AngryAngryAngry and I have dark patches above my lip that makes people look twice to see if I have a moustache. I've been on holiday :( they come out when I'm tanned Sad

No problem, I can't see why you are getting so much stick, it's just a bit of fun! I get hassled about my freckles, makeup counter women tend to want to offer me darker foundation to blend them into my face, wtf....I hated them as a kid but now they're just part of me. I think for my age my skin is quite nice. It's super soft anyway.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 06/12/2016 07:54

My skin is awful, huge open pores that can probably be seen from space redness on my cheeks, thread vein on my nose & my skin tone is grey with a hint of blue (think John Major's Spitting Image puppet)

If someone see's me make up free for the first time 9 times out of 10 they ask if I'm ill. I was not blessed with a good complexion & make up makes me feel better. I don't care if you don't wear it, I don't care if you trowel it on! So yes for me to put up a picture it would be light-heartedly brave, but I can't...the only place I'm logged in is on the work PC and I can't get my password back to do it on the Ipad as my memory I crap & I can't remember my Google email address either.

Rumtopf · 06/12/2016 07:55

Wombatron I get the dark skin on my top lip too! I had a proper meltdown over it when we were in Greece as I tanned really well everywhere else but my sodding top lip looked like I had a full on tasche!

Indecisivejo · 06/12/2016 07:55

Thanks wombatron u look lovely, nice full lips lucky you.

Buster I love your freckles, most girls on make up counters are clueless tbh.

Nice close up of my dry red cheek and spotty forehead! I'm lucky that this is as spotty as I get but hormones mean that I always get a couple a month.
I have absolutely no skincare regime other than washing my face in the shower but I want to work on that as I don't look great for 28! A resolution for the new year perhaps.

Bare skin in all my wonky-nosed glory Grin I love makeup but don't wear it every day, sometimes I can't be bothered.

Manumission · 06/12/2016 09:04

No come on OP.

Don't you think you should explain why you want other people to out themselves while you stay anonymous and mouthy?

Redlocks28 · 06/12/2016 09:13

This reminds me of the posts where the OP wants people to reply saying either
-what job they have
-how much they earn or
-where they live

But doesn't give their own answers!

You then only get people replying who earn a 6 figure salary!

Manumission · 06/12/2016 09:21

Doesn't it just? Smile

"You all be darlings and post your paycheques/photos of your front gardens/your engagement rings. I'll just sit here and watch" Hmm

Well, this is S&B... Xmas Hmm

Thank you so much for posting the before and after - you look great with and without tbh. I don't examine whether people are wearing mu irl so it's interesting to see the difference.

I really love this thread. It's SO refreshing to see real skin rather than airbrushed glory. Reality check.
