Wooly Tights

Does anyone have any recommendations for some really thick Wooly tights as some of the ones I currently own have been worn quite a bit. Not too bothered on colours though preferrably looking at Navy, Burgundy, Purple or Black, and rele warm and cosy and last. The thicker the better that I can wear to work or going out. All my old ones were from BHS.

I have done from M&S that are in their third winter. They were £10 I think.

DubiousCredentials · 02/12/2016 15:59

*some

lesleylogan89 · 02/12/2016 16:00

Wouldnt mind paying £10 as long as they last quite well.

I've just looked on M&S website and I can't see any that are the same as I have. Like I said it was a few years ago! But I love them. Warm and cosy, have kept their shape and don't need hoiking up all the time. They are just plain black woolly ones.

I bought some cable knit grey ones from Sainsbury's. I've worn them a few times now & they haven't gone bobbly yet. They had black, grey and navy I think. They were about £5 but there's 25% off all clothes at the moment.

Falke Seasons or Soft Merino tights at TK Maxx, £7.99.

Or Sensual Touch (blend with silk and cashmere). Also £7.99.

Mine are from Tesco and they are lovely and warm surprisingly!

squiz81 · 02/12/2016 16:53

I got some lovely cashmere ones from TK maxx, they're so soft.
I got a pair from Tesco with a flowery pattern (not as scary as they sound) for £2 in the sale, I think they're on their 5th winter, they still look and feel great and I've worn them a lot!

lesleylogan89 · 02/12/2016 17:54

Thanks for the input ladies, in desperate need of some new ones as the days get colder. Realised the pair I had on today have a hole in the foot and would like a few new pairs.

I have brown, grey, navy and black and all come from Tesco or M&S. I can't remember which fit or wear better as I have loads. It's all I wear in winter with my denim skirt or woollen dresses.

lesleylogan89 · 02/12/2016 18:13

Have a pair of Brown ones that are about six years old, would quite like another pair. Maybe need to do my next shopping at Tescos.

Cos have merino tights for £15, they don't wear out but they do bobble (being made with actual wool) so you have to handle them carefully. I wear new ones for work and old seasons for weekend/round house.

lesleylogan89 · 02/12/2016 20:01

Sounds a good idea yeh, will keep a hold of my old ones.

I second the tesco ones. I bought some from there as emergency tights on holiday in Ireland and they were so warm and comfy and soft I went back and got another three pairs.

They're just plain black but they get worn about four times a week and so far are showing zero signs of wear. Not overly expensive either.

lesleylogan89 · 02/12/2016 20:13

Tesco Black ones sound good, I am cold at the best of times so the black ones are ideal as I could even wear em under Trousers in the really cold days.

Tesco have some lovely ones, bought a Burgundy coloured pair quite recently.

Petal02 · 03/12/2016 17:48

H&M do thick ribbed tights, I think they are £7

Carneddai · 03/12/2016 17:55
