Wellies for toddler

I'm not sure this is the right section but my 14 month old needs some wellies and I'd like the to be flexible and warm. Can anyone recommend any?

Most of the ones I've seen are quite long which makes it hard for him to walk with his little legs. He a size 5.

People seem to like jojo maman bebe. They cost a bit more than supermarket wellies for example but they are made of rubber so more flexible. Cheap wellies are just plastic. They also sell welly liners because wellies themselves aren't warm. The website has details and reviews

I get mine from an independent shoe shop and I think they are start rite but I'll have to double check

They have little handles on the side to help pull them on and a fleecy lining inside to keep them warmer

And yes they cost more than supermarket wellies

I'm on year 3 of getting from Lidl, they're fleece lined and have flashing lights for 7.99 they're a bargain

We bought Jo jo ones and they fell apart within a few weeks- I wasnt too impressed tbh, whih is a shame as they are lovely and a good price.

I like the mother care wellies with handles to help get them on. Bright colours and they sell thermal welly socks. Reasonably priced too.

Must have been unlucky there cookie. We've had many pairs over the years and they have all been very hard wearing.

They're pricey, but I love the hunter wellies, though the fact that they're tall is a plus for me. I have the welly liners too, so they're lovely and warm, and since ds wears them every day from Oct to April (well, he did last year) I need ones that won't fall apart.

I got the snow boots from jojo mama babe which are really good. Bit warmer than wellies and they seem pretty waterproof.

If you want short wellies, ours were made by a company called Playshoes. They are more ankle length, so much easier for a toddler to walk in. We used waterproof dungarees to go with them, to avoid ending up with wet legs. We got ours from an independent shoe shop, but I just looked and there are lots on Amazon.

It seems JMB might be the way forward, I'll have a look at the website. We tried some startrite lined ones last week that were lovely so I might revisit those too.

My 4 year old has Lidl wellies and he loves (dinosaur ones this year) them but they're a bit too clunky for a really little one I think. He's still a bit unsteady on his feet.

H&M have some that are short and nice but ended up getting some in next which were about £14 ish

We've had some fab Hatley ones, lovely bright patterns. They're not the cheapest though, about £20, but really good quality.

We had the Hatley ones and they were the only wellies that slit across the front. I am still a little annoyed as their products are generally great quality with nice designs. My DD did not wear overuse them as she only wears them if walking in the rain which is not something we often do intentionally. I will not buy their wellies again and would not recommend at all.

We have bought from MotherCare in the past and they were superior particularly the Jools Oliver branded ones. At the moment we have Peppa Pig ones from Next. We haven't had them long enough to know if they are good.

ETA you can buy fleece liners in JJM. I bought them and returned them as we only use them in the rain and I didn't particularly want my DD's feet walking on a wet fleece liner.

Boggs are amazing. My son lives in them in the winter. Warm and machine washable, her rarely wears his shoes so I can justify the price
