Whistles bags?

Does anyone have any experience of Whistles handbags? I've been eyeing up the Regent soft tote for a while now and I'm wondering if it's worth the money. The leather seems good quality but I'm still hesitating a bit. I'm looking at the red and it seems to be selling out quite quickly... thanks for your experiences!

A sales assistant once told me they use the same leather Mulberry do.

For the high street, they are excellent quality, but considering you can get a lower end designer bag for not much more, I don't think the finishing is comparable.

Basically one of their bags in the sale would be value for money and I'd be satisfied...I guess what I'm saying is can you hold out for the sales in a few weeks?!

Oh I got one recently! I was undecided between that a Mulberry or a Saint Laurent one. I chose the regent as felt it was pretty much the same for a third of the price! So far so good!

The straps are thin so I worry about putting anything too heavy in it. But it's a gorgeous bag and feels lovely! I can't comment on how long it will last but I'm very pleased with it

I've got a bucket bag of tyere's and s Boden one, Boden one looks scruffy after less than 6 months. Love the whistles one, nicer size and design too, very little between them price wise

Oooh thanks all! I know technically I should wait til the sales but they seem to be selling out in many of the colours.

Glad to hear you like yours Anna, I did think the straps looked quite thin too...

I'm also a bit dubious that a 'lower end designer bag' is really going to be better quality acurtis - aren't you just paying for the name? Part of what I like about the Whistles bag is that the branding is quite discreet.

Update: I love the bag but the handles have started falling apart after just a few months. Whistles are being very helpful but has anyone else had this problem? The leather has sort of split. The rest of the bag still looks great.
