How would you style this skirt?

Loved it, bought it and now can't work out what kind of top to wear with it for a party. I don't think the one on the model suits the skirt. Any ideas or might I just have to just send it back?

Definitely needs a fitted top. The nude one on the model is grim. Black might work? Needs to be quite plain.

Black Bardot top? I hate that nude one!

Or a black fine knit, v neck or low round neck.

I'm thinking it's all quite limited. I don't wear black near my face as I look drained and pinkish-pasty, not attractive pale in a Cate Blanchett or Nicole Kidman kinda way.

A gold fine knit top? Or pick one of the colours from the skirt and go with that

Navy?

A classic white shirt, fitted, tucked in, buttons undone to just above cleavage, sleeves turned up to above elbow, colour slightly turned up. Very high stilettos in either patent black or matt gold. Hair in a (probably professionally done) ponytail. Gold hoops in me ears.

I'd wear an emerald green top with that skirt. If you are pale, do you have any red in your hair, green makes it look amazing. This kind of colour, although I don't think this top is necessarily right, Boden might have something, they are always good for colours, sure they had a green ravello top a year ago? Then black accessories.

Short fitted cardigan / twinset or a boat necked top, must have 3/4 sleeves. I think it is lovely.

I got the Coast zahara bardot top in navy recently to wear with a skirt of that style. Looks great. Comes in other colours too
