Where was your first wrinkle?

Being nosy, and doing research for efficient use of anti ageing creams Grin

I have one NL line which appeared when I got braces in my twenties but am still awaiting the arrival of the my first serious wrinkle. I'm 37. So where did you get your first wrinkle or signs of ageing?

I've got a vertical crease on the side of my forehead. it's been caused by sleeping on my side and isn't noticeable because of the way my hair is cut, but it's a very deep wrinkle.

Started to establish itself aged 35, thoroughly settled in by age 37.

And I have naso labial lines since age 36.

Neither of these are as aging as a the general loss in evenly toned skin, that makes me look grey and knackered. Thank goodness for brightening primers.

Maudlinmaud · 01/12/2016 08:54

I've always had frown lines on my forehead, I just have a very expressive face, you could read my thoughts with it.
Over the years the lines have become deeper and when I'm not frowning they are still there. I wear a fringe to hide them as no creams seem to do anything. In the new year I'm going to have botox in 3 areas.
Not sure if it will work though and I'm a little nervous about it. I'm mid 30s.

I dont have many. I am 49. My neck is the worst part. Started to get crepey at 46 or thereabouts. I try to make it look better by doing a few things and they help but cant cure it. I suppose i had a baby later and the fact i put on weight and lost it was the primary cause rather than ageing. I am self conscious of it. As for my face, nothing really atm. I guess fine lines around my eyes and maybe a little line on at the bottom of my lip but thats it. I am lucky.

I had frown lines at 19. Don't have that many more at 60 (which I attribute to not smoking or sunbathing and lots of sunscreen). But I still look my age anyway because my face is collapsing like an old sofa.
I wouldn't worry about wrinkles - they're not the main problem.

But I still look my age anyway because my face is collapsing like an old sofa.

I do love that description Flo Grin

I am 41 and have no wrinkles. I have no idea why. Not a boast, I do get fed up with people saying how young I am, taking me less seriously too.

rightknockered · 01/12/2016 16:23

Mine were smile lines in my 30's, nasio label, and one above my top lip.
Doesn't bother me anymore

NameChanger22 · 01/12/2016 16:26

I've had a couple of creases on my forehead since childhood. I don't think I have any other wrinkles, but my eyesight is starting to go, so maybe I just can't see them. Grin I'm 44.

Gwenhwyfar · 01/12/2016 19:46

Under the eyes from about late twenties, then middle of the forehead. Then those ones extended so that by nearly 40 my eye wrinkles extend down my cheeks and my forehead ones are stronger. Noticed 11s (frown lines) in early 30s and are now entrenched, Nasio-labial lines since my 30s. One side is noticeably worse than the other and I can't figure out why as I don't drive so wouldn't have one side more exposed to the sun. General drooping of the face meaning I can't just lose weight to get tighter cheeks. Hands are now quite aged-looking, but I can't remember when that started. Some wrinkles seem to be setting in on my neck as well Sad

Bertucci · 01/12/2016 20:06

I see from photos when I was in my early 30s that I had a couple of lines across my forehead.

I am 46 now and have Botox, so those lines are long gone!

pklme · 01/12/2016 20:54

Base of the neck, just one, all the way round.
Then vertical one btn eyebrows.

mowglik · 01/12/2016 21:13

Thanks all - I was expecting to hear of lots of eye wrinkles followed by smile lines but seems it is very different for everyone..

Flo I kind of agree about wrinkles being less ageing for some people than other factors, I def suffered from loss of volume in my face post 30 and that was more ageing than anything else.

Got me thinking about facial exercises again which I used to do, that and planning retin-a around the eyes, NL lines and forehead as I cant be bothered with a sting-y face

Right between my brows, from about aged 11!
Parents were convinced I must need glasses because I constantly frowned. Turns out I was just unpleasant, but the lines stayed until I banished them with Botox

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 02/12/2016 10:07

I have serious smile lines round my eyes. Would Botox help with those?

FeralBeryl · 02/12/2016 18:11

Yes! It's counted as one area (crows feet)

Hassled · 02/12/2016 18:13

I still have no forehead wrinkles at all - it looks like I've been botoxed - and I'm early 50s. My eyes were the first to go - I blame the fact I didn't wear sunglasses when I was young.

Losgunna · 02/12/2016 20:13

Crows feet were my first. Still not a single frown line. Got a couple of little ones appearing at the corners of my mouth too.
I quite like them tbh. I think it shows that more of my life has been cause to smile than frown (which luckily for me it has)

Chewbecca · 02/12/2016 20:24

A horizontal line on my forehead about 1" down from my hairline started appearing in my mid/late 20s. I'm 44 now & it remains my only deep line. I am a bit chubby though which I think has filled out any others.

dudsville · 03/12/2016 03:58

Ah, I had some feint lines on my forehead, then had a lengthy period of mourning and now have tons around my eyes. Early 40's. They are reminders of what I have survived so not happy, not proud, but reminders of what I made it through.

OlennasWimple · 03/12/2016 04:34

Two lines across my forehead first

Last year an 11 appeared between my eyes out of nowhere.

I have small creases around my eyes that are taking longer to fade when I stop smiling

Retinoid gel is helping to reverse the worst of these (my forehead lines are still visible, but I can't feel them any more)

Gwenhwyfar · 04/12/2016 11:49

Which one do you take Olennas?
