Recommend a hairdresser in Liverpool?

My daughter and I would like a girly day out and she wants her long thick curly hair cut short and I need a decent cut (possibly colour too). I'm looking for a good place but not too expensive, mainly someone who can do something nice with her hair as it really looks awful short but she's adamant. 🙄 Can anyone recommend somewhere? TIA!

Voodou are very very good, on bold St in the city centre, but quite expensive and you need to book quite far in advance as they are in high demand

Toni and guy are good, Steve g's wife goes there if that's anything to go on

Honestly if she has curly hair and wants a radical change I'd take her to Spring in Birmingham. I haven't found a hairdresser in Liverpool that will do what I want with my curls (cut it into a sharpie graduated bob, preferably dry using the curl by curl method).

The guy in Voodou used one colour on my highlights instead of the two I asked for which was annoying, but as that was about 12 years ago maybe I should move on! Grin

Always had good experience with Voodou
Also Andrew Collinge graduates also on Bold Street

Minsky's on bold street.

I used to go to Qdos in Toxteth, many years ago. Some of the stylists from Voodoo had moved up there.
I moved away, but some of my friends still go (stylish/glam types). Their prices were reasonable too as they were in a cheaper part of town.

No experience with curly hair but Posh on the Aigburth Road opposite Lark Lane do a good job on my long straight hair. I usually go to James there.

Btw I don't want sharpie hair that should just be sharp lol.

I had a terrible experience with Spring, would never go back there.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 01/12/2016 22:29

Really? What happened?

Pisssssedofff · 02/12/2016 07:30

Basically cut all my hair off and made me look like s granny with a bad perm it was horrendous even my 6 year old was looking at me going I don't like it !
The girl in London Lynsey I'm told is 200% better

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 02/12/2016 11:14

Shock omg that's terrible! I must admit I don't like that heat lamp thing they stick you under to dry. My curls go really tight.

I had a good cut and the bloke was fit WinkGrin

The other thing I found out which was interesting is that basically you don't need your hair trimmed so unless you're having a re style which lets face it us curly girls have one style, curly, so basically it's s waste of time and money

Thanks everyone!
