Help! I need a really easy updo...

Christmas party this weekend and from previous experience the room will be absolutely roasting so I need to tie my hair up somehow to avoid the sweaty mess look. Dress code is smart casual- I'm wearing jeans and a sparkly too so hair can't be too formal.

Any foolproof methods? It's just below shoulder length, slightly shorter round the front and quite thick/ wavy. Any suggestions much appreciated!

I have extremely thick hair and hardly ever wear it up as there's just too much of it. BUT I found this on Pinterest a while ago and love it!

It's not too formal, you can let a bit out at the front or sides and its super easy to do. You just need long hair grips. And honestly if I can do it with my unearthly-thick hair then anyone can Smile

I'm pretty cack-handed at doing hair. my usual up-do is two plaits pinned up a bit like this. Loads easier than it looks, and suits being a bit messy/informal.

I like doing this style, it looks better in real life than it does in pictures! I do it with loose curls and loose pull-through ponytails. You can pin the bottom up or pin other bits in to make it more polished but I like the messy look!

Just shamelessly place marking as I asked this last night, but for videos, but got no responses! Wink

Sock bun?

Oh, you must, must, must do a chopstick up do!
The easiest, most lovely, stable thing to do (I had only just discovered these when I decided to get my hair cut to a short pixie... )
