Mac - studio fix powder foundation

I'm nc35 in mac studio fix fluid. Would I be the same in studio fix powder foundation?

I go a shade lighter , I am nc45 and get nc42

I went up a shade. Nc25 in fluid and Nc30 in powder.

I always thought you needed to go a shade darker than the fluid...
