DD 18 has suggested hat etc set for xmas. She is cool, casual, funky - with pale skin brown hair blue eyes. I have no style or taste and don't want to waste my cash getting eg an M and S set that makes her vomit.

Money isn't too much an issue unless we're talking small mortages!

Where can I get her something that's got some street cred? She lives an urban life with some very very cool friends. I live in the country with the cats!

I was in Fat Face this morning and saw some really cool sets/earmuffs etc.

Shopping in London yesterday I saw a lot of young women wearing cable knit hats with furry 'bobbles' on top, they look great. No idea where to get them though ( helpful!)

Hollister might be worth a shot? I have an infinity scarf from there that I love www.hollisterco.com/shop/uk/girls-accessories

Asos or urban outfitters are worth a look

With that colouring I would go towards teal or deep purple colouring.

this is lovely

Both my daughters have the same colouring and look nice in burgendy or teal colours. Youngest one has just bought a hat from new look in burgendy with a large pom pom. Or you could try Ted Baker, top shop or Jack Wills.

Joules have some lovely hats with furry pom-poms and matching gloves. No idea whether they're cool but I think they're fab!

Oh you guys never fail in your duty! Excellent suggestions. Hollister it is! I'm so grateful. She'll snort when I tell her I chose via mumsnet
