Lovely curls, help what do I need?

Hello

I have no DC but a beautiful niece and nephew who spend a lot of time here. Niece is thirteen and has thick long hair. She loves having it curled. I have always plaited it for her and on Friday tonged it all with a wand iron, took about an hour. It was lovely.

It got me thinking I could get her something for Xmas. What do I need? Babyliss do heated rollers, are they any good? Would she be just as well with a tong? Old fashioned rags? What are people using these days?

Her mum has no issue with me getting any of the above, I just wondered what people have found to do the best job. Flowers

Yes those suggested above are amazing! My mother in law and sister in law use them! In fact I'm going to get some for Christmas for myself!

Sarah - are they easy to use? Am toying with buying them myself while they're on offer, but they might require more coordination to use than I possess.

Brilliant, thank you both. And yes, are they easy? Neither her mum nor I are particularly good at stuff like this, I have slightly more patience perhaps. Ideally it would be better if she could do it herself but I do like helping really.....
