I don't think it's that bad. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be sticking it on my Christmas list, but as others have said, I've seen much worse in M&S (at least there aren't loads of frills on it!). Might be the sort of thing that looks better on than off, if you see what I mean.

youarenotkiddingme · 27/11/2016 09:15

Grin @ playmobil clip on outfit from knights range.

iliveinasimspocket · 27/11/2016 09:25

Their Christmas window displays this year are awful too. Some kind of red belted outfit (can't work out if it's a dress or a house coat) and another red dress that fits the mannequins poorly. Look like they're made of that cheap red spongey material that's used for Christmas decor and Santa costumes.

I thought it was the mistake of one store but I've seen it in a few now. Looks like something Mrs Overall would wear!

cushioncovers · 27/11/2016 10:10

Urrr that's so drab, it looks more like a horse rug. Sad

Waxlyrically · 27/11/2016 12:55

I must be ill as I don't mind the coat or the shorts. The gold dress is very child's dressing up box though!

previously1474907171 · 27/11/2016 13:55

There must a be a very cold horse somewhere missing that coat.

To be fair, the shorts aren't the worst thing i have ever seen... however, they aren'5 really the sort of shorts you could wear with tights so wtf are they doing in amongst all the a/w collection!?

The gold dress looks to be the most unflattering thing I have ever seen!

Ankleswingers · 27/11/2016 15:05

Grin Grin this thread is really amusing

SilverNightFairy · 27/11/2016 15:08

This is what I imagine a female stormtrooper wears on date night.

AmeliaPeabody · 27/11/2016 15:15

The gold velvet curtains dress is all wrong. Though the styling and shoes doesn't help.

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/11/2016 15:18

I'm sure my Dad had a coat like that and he really wasn't the feminine type Confused

SilverNightFairy · 27/11/2016 15:36

IHaveBrilloHair I don't know why but your comment really made me laugh. Sure your dad wouldn't be impressed Grin

dementedma · 27/11/2016 15:40

The coats ok, the gold dress is utterly vile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/11/2016 15:48

I don't like the coat but it's not 'that' bad. The gold dress, on the other hand, is monstrous.

QueenMortificado · 27/11/2016 15:57

I quite like the gold dress!

It would look amazing on someone very tall and thin with very dark skin

SarahJessicaParkersLostCurls · 27/11/2016 16:02

I just laughed out loud at the shorts...

BigGreenOlives · 27/11/2016 16:07

I think the coat would look good on the right woman, it's a very adult piece & could look fab on someone around 55, 5'10" with honey blonde hair, camel trousers & top underneath.

I just bought a Per Una parka - saw it when I went to buy some gloves & it's perfect, no bows or extra buttons anywhere.

Bettercallsaul1 · 27/11/2016 17:37

Exactly, Big Green Olives! Grin

I thought the same about the gold dress, but also with fabulous shoes instead of those clompy horrors.

onelastpigout · 27/11/2016 18:19

A tall, slim person could look really good in that coat, especially if it's worn loose.
On a short person, who's of the more curvy persuasionfat, then I would imagine it would look horrendous.

That rules me and most of M & S customers out.

Foxyspook · 27/11/2016 22:32

thanks, having a horrible weekend - glad I started this thread because it has made me laugh a lot..M&S is a good source of fun if not profit for share holders or whoever owns it.

Someone at work has the coat and they look amazing in it. They are very tall but she wears it so well.

TWOBANANAS · 28/11/2016 07:23

I actually like the dress but the shoes are very wrong.

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/11/2016 10:12

Their trouser section is a sea of flappy legged, ill-fitting, too short horrors.

so bad I can't choose one
