I'm looking to get some make up brushes for my 22 year old niece. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Smile

What's your budget pinkie?

pinkieandperkie · 23/11/2016 18:03

They are for a gift so I'm flexible on the price. Am happy to pay for quality.

RealTechniques are good and not too pricey, they do a nice set of 5 in boots

Ha ha snap!

I quite like this Ecotools brush for liquid foundation. I'm a bit of a novice with foundation - I used to use all-in-one powder, only got into liquid this summer. Very easy to use & with the right foundation I can get very good light coverage with no lines or streaks.

Real Techniques also get really good reviews on here, I have one of their stippling brushes for powder, very good.

I'm less of a fan of Real Techniques but know that others rate them, and think it's just personal preference.

Zoeva are slightly more expensive but also very good.

Thanks I will have a look at your suggestions.

I bought the real techniques see for £40 from boots today, usually £100. Brilliant vfm based on the individual prices. Have a couple already and love them.

Yea was gonna suggest the real techniques ones as they are superb value atm in boots and £40 for a full set of brushes is a steal!

I have a lot of brushes from various brands and for high street Real Techniques are good value for money.

pinkieandperkie · 24/11/2016 08:49

Thanks all of you. I have ordered a set of real techniques from Boots.

Good call, OP. I used to swear by my eye-wateringly expensive Mac brushes, but now I prefer Real Techniques.
