Want see me curly?

I have (had) poker straight past my shoulders long layers. I've had a blunt, on shoulder cut and GHD wand curls - my question is, how on earth do I do this at home! Babyliss curl perfect?

I think you would have to do that with a wand or straighteners. Definitely not Curl Perfect though - you have to feed in quite small sections of hair or it jams. Consequently it gives small tight curls - no good for shorter hair. You'll end up looking like you've got a mop on your head.
It's looks lovely, by the way.

Thank you. It took a bit of hairdresser skill to do the wand thing - I will need plenty of practice I think.

All I can manage with the curl perfect is something a kin to a half grown out 80s perm. It was not a good purchase.

Oh really burnished? So I really need to think wand then...

You can get that look with normal GHD straighteners.

Take a section of hair (the more hair, the looser the curl) and clamp between the irons. Pull the hair through while tilting the irons at an angle. You must keep the hot irons moving to avoid burning your hair. If you have poker straight hair, you may need to spray each section with a setting spray before curling. Tilt the iron in alternate directions so the curls are not too uniform.
With practice, you could achieve that look quite quickly. You will need two mirrors to check the back. You could get away with just curling the top sections.

Unfortunately my GHDs are the wide plate Ines so I don't think that'll work with them. Not my Best Buy :(
