Delivery advice - online shopping

I figured this would be the best place to ask... I have a friend whose birthday is coming up and he's currently posted through the forces on the Falkland Islands.

Can anyone suggest retailers who deliver there? I've sent a parcel before and it cost an absolute fortune for something tiny!

Depends what it is obviously, but invariably retailers delivery costs are less than the post office...or try somewhere like parcels2go.

I used to pay about £80 with the PO to send about 15kg of stuff to Italy. Now I use parcels2 go, they come to the house to fetch the parcel, up to 30 kg, insured for about £18!

Aren't there special rules for this provided they have a special forces address?

Amazon seems to deliver to those for free plus VAT back if it's outside the EU:
