High end designer bags on e bay

I have bought some lovely genuine designer bags on e bay (Miu Miu, LV, Gucci, Christian Dior). I have been buying and selling handbags on e bay for about 10 years, and have had my fair share of fakes which thank goodness I have got my money back going through e bay. What are your experiences on buying high end designer goods on e bay. How do you spot fakes?

I read on a thread of someone buying a second hand Chanel and meeting the seller at the Chanel concession at Selfridges where they confirmed the authenticity and she handed over the cash. I thought that was a good idea.

That sounds a good idea, however due to distance and other constraints, it's not always possible to do that. So you have to rely on other methods and do your research.

I've only ever used the mulberry authenticators on the purse forum, I definitely trust them, it's not a case of 500 posts and anyone gets to have a go at authenticating. I've actually met 2 of the 3 authenticators in person and totally trust their judgement.
