Metallic platform shoes - what to wear with them??

Hope the pic has loaded! I bought these shoes thinking they'd be good for Christmas nights out, etc, but I'm wondering what they'd go with. I have a simple black off the shoulder dress, but are these too chunky to go with a short dress?? Would they go with black skinnies? Feeling a bit lost as far as fashion goes. I'm 36, 5 foot 2, a size 10 if that makes any difference. Thanks v much!
